The Centre Wellington Children’s Drama Club began in the mid 1970’s as an offshoot of the Elora Community Theatre when ECT founder Pat Chataway began a Saturday morning group for children. The club has grown and survived four decades due to the direction and dedication of many community volunteers including Peter Scott, Conn Gartley, Deb Stanson, Lena Nudds, Kim Renders, Tom Riddell, and Judy McMullan*.

We are still making history with each years’ successful performances, our current directors Katy Chapman & Gerard Gouthro have both dedicated many years teaching our children’s drama community.

For many years now the Club has functioned as a grassroots parent run cooperative. Parent involvement is vital to the operation of the program and its continuation. Parents make up a volunteer board of directors and participate in all aspects of the theatre production each year.
