The Kids:

Centre Wellington children’s drama club members are 44 local kids with a passion for acting, who come together to learn, develop and enhance their unique artistic abilities through creative dramatic expression, becoming talented and confident young people. The kids work with the director half of the year learning and developing technique, and half of the year practicing their play with a final live public performance in the Fergus Grand Theatre. This club supports and encourages members in a positive and ‘play’-ful approach.

The Parents

This club is organized through a grassroots parent run co-operative. All parents are required to participate in the club to ensure it’s continuation each year. A volunteer parent board of directors takes on additional responsibility for running the business functions of the club. No one person is in charge, we survive on team work. We welcome our parents to become as involved in the club as they can by contributing their own skills and talents in the various production groups. All hands are needed on deck to help with the final production week and performances in April.

Our class is currently directed by two experienced drama instructors from the community.
